I've spent most of my life, at some time or another, taking photographs and this site is simply somewhere to store and show a collection of photos I have taken over many years of people, animals, objects, places, animals, nature.  Through acquaintances and Clubs, I've been advised and taught by some of the best professionals who showed me the workings of a dark room and some the oldest, quirkiest of cameras. You will see that some of my pictures are of better quality than others but I had the best little cameras that pocket money could afford from a Brownie 127 (oh the heady excitement of pressing that little cream button to snap an image) to a top of the range Nikon.  I take photographs of things that capture my heart, imagination and attention.  I hope you enjoy looking at my photos as much as I did taking them.  I'm not a wedding photographer although I have taken many wedding day photographs for friends and family when their professional has, sadly, let them down.  We all know that weddings are not just about the ceremony but the before, during, after and all the craziness in between.  The rest are from the everyday to trips abroad and here in the UK.  Some are just objects that I thought might make an interesting photograph from a different angle.  I do have some 'signature' angles I'm known for. You may spot them along the way if you hang around long enough  :)

 

For me, taking a photograph can capture those transient moments and freezing them in time before the magic second passes forever.  You only get one chance and it's gone

Not everything needs to be pretty or scenic to make an interesting picture. There can be beauty in the most unlikely settings.  A broken down old chair, a rickety bridge, a rusty garage door, a dull rainy day, torn clothes and muddy shoes, clotheswashing lines in exotic places.

All my photographs are personal and each and every one is taken with much love. From beautiful bridal parties to a dirty faced child glowing with joy at the end of an exhilarating and fun day.
